The crown jewel of Texas river fishing - a clear Hill Country spring river that runs from Guadalupe-bass water at Hunt down through Kerrville, then turns cold below Canyon Dam into the southernmost year-round trout tailwater in the United States. Upstream it's wade-and-float for native Guadalupe bass; the Canyon Dam tailrace holds stocked and holdover rainbows and fishes entirely on the generation schedule.
